Marieke Agatha Stoop – Entrepreneur, HR expert and author is dedicated to support people in fulfilling their potential in order to make a difference in this world. She has mentored directors, business owners and her HR consulting experience include international organisations, Fortune 500 companies and Shared Service Centers in Europe and Australia.

Marieke is a native of the Netherlands, born in a small village close distance to Amsterdam. For years she has undergone training on human resource management, communication, leadership, self- expression, and mindfulness.

In 2009, at the age of 29, after being in HR for more than 10 years, she founded Human in Progress, supporting startups and Fortune 500 companies in their performance to build organisations that attract, motivate and retain employees. She is also the founder and content owner of the official HR Portal NL. This is a popular and the only exclusive HR source in The Netherlands with Human Resources documentation in English. The portal sets the standard for international companies and professionals in need for Dutch Employment Law, People and Change Management when employing staff in the Netherlands.

Marieke is the author ebook How To Market Yourself Online, launched in 2015, a result of writing powerful LinkedIn profile and resumes in English and Dutch for CEOs, directors, managers, and young professionals. In addition, she wrote several other ebooks about HR with practical guides to get into action.

In 2010, a road trip in the United States fuelled Marieke with inspiration for writing her blog and books in English instead of in Dutch.
