Marieke Agatha Stoop – Entrepreneur, international HR governance & compliance expert, and author is dedicated to support people in fulfilling their potential and making a difference in this world. She has mentored directors, business owners and HR professionals from international mid-size organisations and Fortune 500 companies.

Marieke is a native of the Netherlands, born in a small village near Amsterdam. Throughout her career she has trained in human resource management, communication, leadership, self- expression, and mindfulness.

In 2009, at the age of 29, after more than a decade working in HR she founded Human in Progress; an international HR Governance & Compliance firm, supporting organisations with practical frameworks.

Marieke is the author of the e-book How To Market Yourself Online, launched in 2015 and inspired by her experience writing LinkedIn profiles and résumés in English and Dutch for CEOs, directors, managers and young professionals. In addition, she has written several e-books on HR, offering practical guides designed to turn knowledge into action.

In 2010, a road trip through the United States inspired Marieke to start writing her blog and books in English rather than Dutch. Since then, she has written hundreds of articles across Entrepreneurship & Leadership, Health & Mindset, and Wealth & Investment, sharing the ideas, experiences and perspectives that have shaped her work and life.
An entrepreneur since 2009, Marieke continues to advise, write, speak and facilitate transformation, and has been featured in several magazines.
